Limud Program At Shaarey Zedek SZ Plans Hebrew Marathon Congregation Shaarey Zedek's ongo- ing adult education limud program starts again 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at the synagogue in Southfield. Community scholar-in-residence Rabbi Benjamin Segal will start the new year of learning with a speech on "Israel Today." The limud program is a six-week adult program that meets 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays in Southfield and 7-9 p.m. Wednesdays at the Irving and Beverly Laker Education Complex in West Bloomfield. Fall classes will include how to lead a Shiva minyan, introduction to Totah reading, beginning and intermediate Hebrew, prayer for pedestrians, women in the Bible, principles of communication and sexuality, singing all-time Jewish favorites and Mimi Markofsky's cc- just Desserts" cooking program. Rabbi Golinkin travels around the country teaching his one-day marathon method. The $50 registration fee includes all text materials, a light kosher dairy lunch and snacks throughout the day.
