hen they "suggested" I
the Teen Mission to Israel
e summer of '98.
wanted to get a summer job
hang with my friends. After
at of "discussion," I reluctantly
of on the plane thinking, What
e I got myself into?
I thought my
parents were
all wet . .
But I went, I saw and I had the
most amazing time. I crawled
through ancient caves, went on
water hikes, snorkied, parasailed
at the Red Sea and slept in the
desert. I learned about another
culture and made friends across
the world, many of them I still
correspond with. I also learned
about pushing myself to do
things I wouldn't normally do.
If you're thinking about not
oing on the Teen Mission,
OP. Just go with an open
lid, hiking boots and a lot of
suntan lotion!
