In the ad for Cookies By Design that
ran in The Jewish News 10/8/99 there
was an error in the symbol for their
Kosher certification. The name of the
certifying organization is correct, how-
ever the incorrect Kosher symbol was
used. The correct symbol is it .

it," said Les, "you feel great and full
of vigor all day long." A regimen of
running four miles twice a week corn-
bined with weightlifting at the gym
four times a week, keeps 66-year-old
Les in shape.
To attract their daughters into
coming home and running in the
Detroit-Windsor race with them,
Donna mailed a newspaper article
about the marathon to Alexis, with a
note: "I need some company and an
inspiration."
Alexis called Susan in New Jersey,
and they agreed to the challenge.
"You were my support in Alaska,"
Alexis told her parents, "so we will
reciprocate for you in Detroit."
Since late June, Les and Donna
have stepped up their training. "This
has been a big time commitment for
us," said Donna. "An 18-mile practice
run can take four hours." Les and
Donna, who run outside year-round,
have been running 30 miles a week
and bulking up on carbohydrates as
part of their training.
Alexis and Susan have been train-
ing similarly on their own turf. This •
Sunday, at 7:45 a.m., the Kutinsky
family's effort will begin at Tiger
Stadium. The route crosses the
Ambassador Bridge, loops through
Windsor and returns through the

Detroit/Windsor Tunnel, tours Belle
Isle and finishes back inside Tiger
Stadium.
Donna anticipates the marathon
will take the Kutinskys between five
and six hours.
For support on the sidelines,
Susan's husband, Eric Herschman,
will be in town with their children,
Carly, 8, and 4-year-old twins Jake
and Emma. Brian Kutinsky, 38, Les
and Donna's son who lives in
Bloomfield Township, will also be
there to cheer, but said, "I am not a
runner like the rest of the clan."
Excited about the weekend, Donna
said, Not only do we get a wonder-
ful family reunion out of this, I get to
do something I have wanted to do for
a long time."
Added Les: "The family that runs
together is too exhausted to fight." I I
