Communicating
For Singles

"Your Communication
Styles — A Turn-On or Turn-Off?"
will be presented by Brian Ashin at a
meeting Sunday, Oct. 24, of
Connections, the singles program of
Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw
County.
The meeting, from 10:30 a.m.-1
p.m. at the Jewish Community
Center in Ann Arbor, is open to all
Jewish single adults and will include
brunch and time for socializing.
The program's focus is tol help par-
ticipants analyze their communication
styles and move toward more open,
direct interactions. Ashin, a social

worker in private practice in Ann
Arbor, works with individuals and
couples. He presents workshops on
the PAIRS program to improve cou-
ples' communication.
Connections sponsors activities for
singles, a newsletter publicizing local
and national singles events, and
LINCS, a one-to-one introduction
