A
n Only Kid, a work by
Huntington Woods artist Lynne
Avadenka, conveys the Passover
story of "Chad Gadya," an alle-
gorical tale that uses a goat to explore the
theme of redemption. The art book, con-
ceived visually, presents text, a cover with
goat hair interwoven in the image and a
full-spread illustration that includes many
animals amid Hebrew lettering.
Avadenka is the only Michigan artist
represented in the traveling exhibition
Women of the Book: Jewish Artists, Jewish
