to celebrate at Gem Theatre in Detroit

The Michigan BBYO Board of Directors is recognizing AZA's 75th anniversary with a gala
celebration that is expected to attract hundreds of current and former BBYOers, advisors, parents
and community supporters.

YEARS

The celebration, to take place on Saturday, Oct. 16th, at the historic Gem Theatre in Detroit,
features the hit play "Escanaba in da Moonlight" by Michigan native Jeff Daniels. BBYO alumna
and comedienne Sheila Kay will emcee the event, where Senior Executive Regional Director
Arnold J. Weiner will be honored for his 30 years of extraordinary service to Michigan BBYO.

"It makes perfectly good sense to honor Arnie while celebrating such a milestone in BBYO
history," said Ilene Lubin, event co-chair. "Arnie has given a good deal of his life to our
organization, from his days as president of his AZA chapter in high school to his current
professional leadership, both locally and nationally. This is our chance to say thank you to Arnie
for a job well done."

Arnie joined the BBYO staff in 1969 and has been involved in almost every aspect of the agency's
growth. Currently a member of the BBYO National Management Team, Arnie now supervises the
BBYO programs in Chicago, Milwaukee and Toronto, in addition to his work in Michigan.

Michigan has been one of the most successful BBYO regions under Arnie's leadership - with
strong programming, a well-trained staff, an active adult board and community support. He is

In preparation for AZA's 75th year celebration, BBYO is planning a special
anniversary publication that will feature a written history of BBYO, a program overview
of Michigan Region, success stories from current BBYOers as well as BBYO Alumni, paid
advertisements, and lots of BBYO photos. Everyone who has been connected with BBYO
is invited to create their own advertisement for this publication that shares their memories
and updates friends and acquaintances about their successes and whereabouts.
