Elana's mitzvah projects included volunteering at Yad Ezra and donat- ing stuffed animals to a youth home. Bradley Joshua Lutz will be called to the Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday, Oct. 9, at Temple Israel. He is the son of Jill and Dr. Michael Lutz and brother of Jeffrey and David. Proud grandparents are Marilyn Cherney, Annette Lutz and Dr. Sherwin Lutz. He is also the grandchild of the late Fred Cherney. His favorite mitzvah project involved tutoring younger children in math and science. A student at Bloomfield Hills Middle School, Bradley enjoys tennis, in-line skat- ing, skiing and travel. Adam Herman Martin will become a bar mitzvah on Saturday, Oct. 9, at Congregation B'nai Moshe. He is the son of Allyce Martin and Aaron and Fran Martin; he is the brother of Jacob Martin. He is the son of Jody and Lee Schottenfels of West Bloomfield and the brother of Abby and Emily. His grandparents are Marion and Samuel Wolock and Sally Schottenfels of Bloomfield Hills Peter is an eighth-grade honor student at West Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. He plays clarinet and piano. Peter's interests include computers, rocketry, swim- ming, sailing, skiing and acting. Peter's mitzvah projects include assisting his grandmother to serve Meals on Wheels, serving food at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit, working at Temple Kol Ami's SOS Shelter program and being a counselor in training at the Huck Finn Day Camp. Marci Lauren Schwartz will cele- brate her bat mitzvah on Saturday, Oct. 9, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek: Marci is the daughter of Barb and Steve Schwartz and the sister of Brad. Proud grand- parents are Dorothy Herzoff, Ruth Schwartz and Gilbert Schwartz. She is also the granddaughter of the late Stan Herzoff.
