THE DISCOVERY ROOM, on the

second floor of the JCC's Kahn
Building, is an interactive Jewish
learning environment for kids aged 3-
7. Children can learn about archeolo-
gy and "dig" for Jewish artifacts
"buried" in a large sandbox, put
"wishes" in a mock-up of the Kotel
(Western Wall), dress up as biblical
characters and much more.
There are plans to expand hours
and enlarge and update the Discovery
Room in conjunction with ongoing
JCC renovations.

JEWISH BOOK FAIR, Nov. 6 14,

JCC, offers a Jewish spin on the lively
arts. While the actors are not necessar-
ily Jewish, the season offerings are
usually by Jewish playwrights like Neil
Simon and Arthur Miller, or have a
Jewish theme. The season's first play,

will take place at both the West
Bloomfield and Oak Park locations of
the JCC. The Book Fair offers books
of Jewish interest for sale, and a full
schedule of talks by invited authors.
