Barbara and Robert Roether of West
Bloomfield are delighted to announce
the engagement of their son Geoffrey
Alan to Susan Naomi Waldman,
daughter of Nancy Harold of St. Paul,
Minn., and Jeremy Waldman and Judi
Belzer of Minneapolis, Minn.
Geoffrey attended Wayne State
University and works in restaurant
management in Milawukee. He is
the grandson of Harry Yellen of
Delray Beach, Fla., formerly of Oak

Park. Susan obtained her bachelor of
arts degree from the University of
Wisconsin and her master's degree
in social work from the University
of Michigan. She is employed with
the Jewish Community Center in
Milwaukee. She is the granddaugh-
ter of Elsie Harold of West
Bloomfield and Cecelia Waldman of
St. Paul, Minn.
An October wedding is planned in
Minnesota.

Paul and Eva Freed of Bloomfield

their son Jayson Leonard Cohen to
Laura Glick, daughter of Lynn and
Richard Glick of Cranston, R.I.
Jayson graduated from Brown
University and received a bachelor of
science degree in electrical engineering
and a bachelor of arts degree in histo-
ry. He is a Ph.D. candidate in physics

at the University of Michigan, Ann
Arbor.
Laura graduated from Brandeis
University and received a master's
degree from the University of
Michigan School of Public Health.
She is a project manager at Pfizer in
New York.
A Dec. 4 wedding is planned in
Rhode Island.
