Beginning Oct. 7, Adat Shalom
Synagogue will offer 22 weeks of
programming focused on Jewish tex-
tual study, Hebrew language, Jewish
history and prayer.
There will be several mini-series
designed to stand alone, which are
open to the community at no
charge. These rabbinic lectures will
be taught from 8-9 p.m. Thursdays
in November, March and April by
Rabbi Daniel Nevins and Rabbi
Herbert A. Yoskowitz. They will
explore three topics: the Kaddish
prayer, the Jews of Asia and the
number four as it relates to the
Has Arrived.

The heart of the institute consist
of four tracks geared to meet differ-
ent levels of Jewish background:
Hebrew literacy, adult bar/bat mitz-
vah training, limud leaders and
Hebrew ulpan. Students in these
programs will join together for the
special rabbinic mini-series.
Each track will feature an hour of
Hebrew study from 7-8 p.m., fol-
lowed by an hour of text study.
Hebrew ulpan will also be open to
intermediate students throughout
the congregation. Nosh cri Drash
students will be invited to attend
courses and study Hebrew on
Thursday nights.
