Health Club
Leader Leaves

ADL Names
Event Co-Chairs

The newly named director of the Health
Club and Fitness Center at the D. Dan
& Betty Kahn Building of the Jewish
Community Center of Metropolitan
Detroit has left for an unrelated career
opportunity in Canada.
Adam Pattison's last day at the JCC
in West Bloomfield was Aug. 29.
In a letter to Health Club members,
co-chairs Ken Manko and Suzi Epstein
assured them that cc-we are committed to
doing everything possible in this interim
period to keep operations running
),
smoothly.
The letter said, "Adam had made a
commitment to us so we are very dis-
heartened to see him leave after only
three months. He told us that he truly
liked the JCC, the members and staff,
but that this was an opportunity that he
just could not pass up for himself and
his family."
Before joining the JCC staff, Pattison
worked at the Hotel Baronette in Novi,
the Ritz-Carlton in Dearborn, the
Westin Hotel-Renaissance in Detroit
and the Hilton International in
Windsor.
In seeking to secure a new Health
Club director as soon as possible, the
JCC will tap both the Jewish
Community Centers of North America
and a job recruiter. The position entails
overseeing program development, bud-
geting, staff supervision and staffing the
Health Club committee.
Prospective candidates should contact
Stuart Wachs, JCC program director, at
(248) 661-1000.
