International and Associated
Press awards.

The Detroit Friends of Bar-Ilan
University recently installed irs new
slate of officers, headed by President
Barbara Horowitz.
Horowitz has been an active par-
ticipant in Bar-Ilan's Detroit activi-
ties for more than a decade. A nurse
by profession, she is a longtime Bar-
Ilan board member; she also serves
on the boards of the Hadassah
Nurses Council and the B'nai B'rith
Youth Organization. She is a mem-
ber of the American Society for
Technion Leadership Council.
Other officers installed are vice
presidents, Rosalie Rosen, Janis

Roszler, Richard Shapack, Robert
Sher; treasurer, Eli Scherr; corre-
sponding secretary, Leila Stollman.
The new executive committee
consists of Dennis Bernard, Dr.
Mark Diem, Dr. Martin Hart,
Sharon Hart, Michael Horowitz,
Lawrence Jackier, Diane Klein,
