What Is The Michigan Jewish
Sports Foundation?

The Michigan Jewish Sports Foundation (MJSF) was
founded in 1984 to honor Jewish individuals who have
distinguished themselves as athletes within the state of
Michigan. We are not only dedicated to fostering Jewish
identity through athletics, but we are committed to giving
something back to the community.

Every year significant funds are raised to support
Michigan Jewish Sports Foundation's charitable efforts.
The Hank Greenberg Golf and Tennis Invitational raises
funds for the Hank Greenberg Oncology Fund at the DMC.
Proceeds from our annual Induction Dinner go to finding
a cure for children's cancer at Children's Hospital.

In cooperation with the Jewish community Center
we sponsor the annual Fame Games. A wonderful day for
youngsters and adults with developmental disabilities.
Every year our Foundation supports a summer camp
program for needy youngsters and grants partial college
scholarships to deserving high school students. In addition,
in conjunction with the jewish News we honor outstanding
male and female athletes of the year.

Through the Hazak portion of our Endowment
Fund we have continued to support a variety of programs
in Israel including the Israel Sports Center for the Disabled,
the Maccabiah Games and many other youth activities.
We would also like to invite all of you to join us in main-
taining and expanding our efforts to support Jewish athletic
and related activities. You can do this by becoming a
founder, a circle of Champions member, a Fame Game
Endowment or an Annual Member.
