Moskowitz contacted the Home Depot in Commerce Township, which agreed to
draw up plans, discuss materials, offer advice and construct a mini-sukka inside the
synagogue. Mindy Nathan, Shir Shalom educational director, called the endeavor a
"win-win" project, with interest generated among younger members wanting "to
start family holiday traditions," as well as the opportunity to teach Home Depot
personnel about 'a holiday that they were largely unaware of" Among those at the
sukka demonstration were Jessica Zilberberg, 8, Mara Lempert, 5, Lauren Golding,
10, Jordyn Lempert, 10, Alexa Golding, 7, and Gabby Zilberberg, 5.
