(1994-1997), Shenhar gave a presen-
tation to members of the Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan Detroit
Board of Governors. She also met
with University of Michigan, Wayne
State University and Madonna
University faculties to discuss possi-
ble joint future projects.
Partnership 2000 is a Jewish
Agency for Israel initiative designed
to spur economic growth, cultural
arts opportunities and public devel-
opment programs between Israel and
Jewish communities abroad.

High Holiday
Service At The Shul

The Shul, a West Bloomfield spiritu-
al center will, for the first time, con-
duct High Holiday services. Geared
toward everyone, regardless of affili-
ation or level of commitment, the
service will include explanations of
prayers. Held at the D. Dan & Betty
Kahn Building of the Jewish
Community Center in West
Bloomfield, a kiddush-lunch will
follow Rosh HaShana services, and a
break-the-fast meal will follow Yom
Kippur services. Children's program-
ming is available. There is no
charge. A Wednesday, Sept. 8,
women's cooking class in preparation
for High Holiday meals will take
place at The Shul, 6211 Quaker Hill
Drive, West Bloomfield. For infor-
mation on the class or to reserve
High Holiday seats, call Itty
