Fighting Heart Disease
and Stroke

Diego, died Aug. 17. For 20 years
Mrs. Stein was a retail sales manager
at Dayton Hudson's.
She is survived by her son, Joseph
Stein of San Diego; daughter Dinah
Stein; grandchildren David, Conor
and Megan Stein.
Mrs. Stein was the beloved wife
of the late Alexander Stein.
Interment was at Oakview
Cemetery. Arrangements by Ira
Kaufman Chapel.

MORIS TAMA, 78, former

Detroiter of Sunrise, Fla., died Aug.
31.
He is survived by his wife, Fanny
Tama; son and daughter-in-law Ely
and Andrea Tama of Farmington
Hills; daughter and son-in-law Tova
and Rick Sherline of West
Bloomfield; sister Ellen Rosenbloom
of Florida; grandchildren Monica
Tama, Jessica Tama, David Sherline,
Stephanie Sherline.
Mr. Tama was the beloved hus-
band of the late Elka Tama.

NORMAN S. WEXLER, 73, former

Detroiter of Washington, D.C., died
Aug. 23.
Mr. Wexler was a playwright and
screenplay writer who was nominat-
ed for two Academy Awards for the
movies Joe and Serpico. He also
wrote the screenplay for the movie
Saturday Night Fever.
He is survived by his daughters,
Erica Wexler and Merin Spiro of
New York City; sister Janet Rosen of
West Bloomfield; grandchild Liana
Spiro.
Mr. Wexler was the beloved son
of the late Sophia Helene and Harry
Wexler.
Burial in New York City.
Contributions may be made to the

DR. JEROME S. WOLFE, 75, of

West Bloomfield, died Aug. 25.
Dr. Wolfe was a graduate of
Illinois School of Optometry in
1948 and had an office in Wayne.
He was a member of Temple Israel,
past president of Wayne County
Optometric Society, a past president
of the Metropolitan Detroit
Optometric Society, a, member of I,
the Anti Defamation League and
B'nai B'rith. He was also a past pres-
ident of the Wayne Rotary Club,
and was a Paul Harris Fellow of
Rotary.
Dr. Wolfe is survived by his wife
of 52 years, Madelyn Wolfe; daugh-
ters Judith Wolfe, Nancy Chernikov
of Walled Lake and Carol Wolfe of
Salem, Mass.; sister and brother-in-
law Eileen and Ben Rubens of West
Bloomfield.
He was the dear brother of the
late Etta Fieldman.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park j
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to Hospice of Michigan.
Arrangements by Ira Kaufman
Chapel.
