Butzel Award.

bined annual
meeting of
Federation and
David K Page
the United
Jewish
Foundation 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. , 28,
at the new location of Akiva Hebrew
Day School, 21100 W. 12 Mile Road,
Southfield.
The Federation award is named for
the late Detroit community leader Fred
M. Butzel, who was well known
throughout the Jewish and general corn-
munities for his service and devotion to
humanitarian causes.
Page is a partner with the law firm of
Honigman, Miller, Schwartz and Cohn
in Detroit and is a member of the State
Bar of Michigan, the American Bar and
the Detroit Bar.
He served as the 19th president of
Federation from 1992-95. Among
his other communal activities, Page
is past president of Temple Beth El
and Detroit Men's ORT. He served
on the boards of the Jewish

Community Center of metropolitan
Detroit and Jewish Family Service.
Nationally, he was a board member
of the Council of Jewish Federations
and the American ORT Federation.
Page has demonstrated his commit-
ment to the city of Detroit by pro-
moting cooperative projects with the
Jewish community, such as the Detroit
Initiative Task Force. He has volun-
teered many hours to such groups as
the Kresge Foundation, Children's
Hospital of Michigan, Detroit
Medical Center, Community
Foundation for Southeastern
Michigan, United Way Community
Services, the Jewish Fund, the Barbara
Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute and
Rose Hill Center.
Locally, Page has been honored with
Federation's Frank W. Wetsman
Leadership Award, the Winning Ways
Award for Community Leadership from
Wayne County Executive Edward
McNamara and the ORT Man of the
Year from Detroit Men's ORT.
Nationally, Page received the
Learned Hand Human Relations
Award from the American Jewish
Committee and was named ORT
Man of the Year by the American
ORT Federation.
A Dartmouth College and Harvard
Law School graduate, Page was a
Fulbright Scholar at the London School
of Economics.
The Bloomfield Hills resident and his
wife, Andrea, have three adult children.
