The intense schedules of medical stu- dents and doctors often prohibit them from spending time with their families during these important times of year. In an effort to help out-of-town Jewish medical students and doctors celebrate the High Holidays, the Maimonides Society for Jewish physi- cians is sponsoring its Holiday Hospitality Network with Pro-Detroit. Young doctors and medical stu- dents will be invited into the homes of local Jewish physicians to cele- brate Rosh HaShana, Erev Yom Kippur and break-the-fast. Sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit's Community Outreach and Education Department, the Maimonides Society seeks to strengthen bonds with the Jewish com- munity and Israel through educational, social and charitable activities. The Pro-Detroit program gives adults ages 22-35 a connection to the local social, cultural and employment scene. Its mission is to make Detroit a desirable option as young people make decisions about where to live and work. Sept. 1 is the reservation deadline for requesting home hospitality for the High Holidays. For information, call Margo Lazar, (248) 203-1494. • . . • I* 3 . 3 i • i Here's To...
