ORT Meets In Cleveland

Sandy Stark, co-president of the
Michigan region of Women's
American ORT, recently led a delega-
tion of members to the annual board
meeting of ORT in Cleveland.
The weekend included the presen-
tation of the Tikkun Olam award to
Nazi hunters Serge and Beate
Klarsfeld. Last year, the Klarsfelds
discovered over 2,000 photos of ORT
in Eastern Europe between the World
wars in the basement of ORT France.

The photos were curated by the
Museum of Jewish Heritage in New
York and exhibited at the museum
for five months then at the ORT
board meeting.
Also attending were past region
presidents, Sharon Hart, Ruth
Rosenfeld and Arlene Barris;
Glennwood Chapter members
Laurie Chudnow, Sheila Schwartz
and Debbie Levin; and national
board member Patti Aaron.
