Harry Weinberg knew the value of money: it was supposed to enrich Jewish life. So the onetime immigrant who became a Baltimore real estate mogul made sure that his resources were used wisely. He and his wife created a foundation that has improved the quality of life for Jewish people everywhere. The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation has awarded a $2 million challenge grant toward fulfillment of the Jewish Community Center's endowment goal. Lending strength to the JCC's capital and endowment campaign, this effort is part of the Millennium Campaign for Detroit's Jewish Future sponsored by the Jewish Federation and United Jewish Foundation of Metropolitan Detroit.
