Dr. Stuart and Caren Bass of West
Bloomfield are delighted to announce
the engagement of their daughter Julie
Lyn to David Seth Sidder, son of Glenn
and Sharon Sidder of Farmington Hills.
Julie attended Michigan State
University. She is employed at the
Sports Club of West Bloomfield and as

a travel agent at Cadillac/Mayfair Travel
in Southfield. David graduated with a
business degree from Michigan State
University. He is the manager of the
Okemos Service Center for Eradico
Services Incorporated.
A September wedding is planned at
the Dearborn Inn.

Jerry and Helen Rowin of Bloomfield

engagement of their daughter Elizabeth
to Michael Sklar, son of Judy Sklar of
West Bloomfield and the late Dr.
Nelson Sklar.
Liz earned bachelor's and master's
degrees in violin performance from the
Mannes College of Music in New York
City and received a graduate fellowship
in violin performance from the
University of Michigan. She is on the
faculty of Oakland University and per-

forms with the Michigan Opera
Theater and Michigan Chamber
Symphony orchestra.
Michael received a bachelor's degree
in mechanical engineering from
Princeton University and completed a
program in economics at Princeton's
Woodrow Wilson School for Public and
International Affairs. He is a manager
with the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency in Ann Arbor and is co-chair of
the Sierra Club's Huron Valley Group.
An October wedding is planned.
