Interfaith Program Set The Interfaith Connection will pre- sent Let's Talk, a four-part discussion series for interfaith couples, 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 21, 28 and Aug. 4, at the Agency for Jewish Education. Legal Leaders From Israel Two top legal authorities from Israel will visit the Detroit area to meet -with local judges, attorneys and legal experts to explore common issues, share ideas and examine differences of the legal systems in the U.S. and Israel. As part of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit's ongoing corn- mitment to the Partnership 2000 exchange program, Chief Justice of the District Court of Nazareth Yehuda Abramovitch and Northern Region District Attorney Esther Gopher will visit July 18-22. Partnership 2000 links Jewish com- munities around the world with regions in Israel for people-to-people relationships in culture, business, medicine, education and social ser- vices. The Central Galilee is Michigan's Partnership 2000 sister region in the north of Israel. Prior to her present position, -gopher served as senior counselor for the Northern Region District Attorney's office. She was a prosecut- ing attorney for the Israeli police and taught Hebrew at the University of Illinois. Prior to his current position, Abramovitch was a practicing attorney and member of the Israel Bar ;Association. He also served as judge in the Magistrate Court in Safed.
