From top to bottom:
Handsome Nathan Stern and
his best pal, Aaron Folbe, say
they would like to be famous
by appearing in the pages of
AppleTree. Boys, you can
expect Hollywood agents to be
calling any day! Well, maybe
... In any case, we are happy •
to run your picture (thanks to
Nathan's mom for sending it
in). Nathan, 6, is the son of
Cheryl and Ronnie Stern, and
brother of Sammy and Jonah,
all of Huntington Woods.
Aaron, 5-1/2, is the son of
Amy and Jack Folbe and broth-
er of Elan°, Jonah and Arden.
We love this adorable three-
some of Michael Hoffman, 5;
Samantha Schaefer, 7; and
Jason Hoffman, 7. Samantha is
the daughter of Julie and Todd
Schaefer of Southfield, while
Jason and Michael are the sons
of Michelle and Jim Hoffman of
Leawood. Kan. All three are
the grandchildren of Gloria
and David Zatkin of Southfield,
and the great-grandchildren of
Ruth Zatkin of Southfield. The
cousins are shown at the recent
bat mitzvah of cousin Anna
Drury of Leominster, Mass.
Anna is the granddaughter of
Richard Zatkin of Southfield.
Dental hygienist Miriam Gold-
berg shows Shoshana Gold-
man how to brush teddy's teeth.
The two met up at the recent
Teddy Bear Clinic Day, held at
Medical Center Pediatrics, an
annual event where children
ages 4 and 5 bring a stuffed
animal for a checkup. Along
the way, "children learn,
through play, that they will be
able to express their fears and
worries about their checkups
and not be afraid to come to
the office," explains Dr. Ralph
Cash.
