THE-JENVISH
FEDERATION

ho exactly is "Federation" and wha

do they do? The answer is really

quite simple.

It's you.

And every other member of the Jewish

community of metropolitan Detroit.

The Jewish Federation was created to centralize

and fund services for all members of our

community. Working in partnership with its

constituent agencies, Federation identifies needs

and mobilizes human and financial resources to

meet those needs. The agencies provide a

continuum of services — from Jewish education fc

our children to loving care for our elderly.

Through your support of Federation's Annual

Campaign (formerly the Allied Jewish Campaign)

and the Jewish Community Endowment Fund,

you play a vital role in helping Federation get the

job done.

Think of it as a triangle: Federation, its agencies

and you.

So if anyone asks you who Federation is,

just point to yourself. Because that's where it

all begins.
