Kimmel would normally still be asleep.
But this day, he stood in the chapel of
the Marvin and Betty Danto Health Care
Center in West Bloomfield, leading the Shacharit
service.
Sixteen-year-old Kimmel, of West Bloomfield,
joined other Congregation Shaarey Zedek members
at the first monthly minyan joining synagogue men's
clubs with Danto residents. Accompanying Kimmel
were his father, Robert Kimmel, Morry Levin and
men's club president Richard Jacobs.
Danto's Rabbi Hershel Klainberg recognized
Kimmel from the days when Kimmel accompanied
