Editor Robert A. Sklar earned a first place in the Louis Rapoport Award for Excellence in Commentary and Editdrial Writing. The winning entry, "Educational Alliance Holds Promise In Quest For Jewish Continuity," commented on the future of the Agency for Jewish Education of Metropolitan Detroit following release of a consultant's study of it last July.
