Bar/Bat Blitzvah

Benjamin Ethan Blinder will celebrate
his bar mitzvah at Temple Israel on
Saturday, June 19.
He is the son of
Laurie and Mark
Blinder, brother of
Rebecca and grand-
child of Marilyn and
Hyman Blinder and
Dorothy Gould. He
is also the grandson
of the late Lester
Gould and the late Gary Cohen.
He particularly enjoyed volunteer-
ing at Yad Ezra as part of his mitzvah
projects. A West Hills Middle School
student in Bloomfield Hills, Benjamin
is interested in computers, especially
the Internet and Nintendo, books on
tape, attending Michigan State foot-
ball games, running cross country and
going to Camp Tamarack.

Kyle Austin Davis will become a bar
mitzvah on Friday, June 18, at Temple
Israel. He is the son
of Shelley and
Daniel Davis, broth-
er of Clay and
grandson of Elaine
and Alex Davis and
Sam Hoffman. He is
also the grandchild
of the late Charlotte
Hoffman.
He found it particularly meaningful
to donate to the Jewish Federation's
Kosovo Refugee Fund; he also volun-
teered at the Temple Israel Labor Day
picnic and during Mitzvah Mania. An
honor student at Walnut Creek
Middle School in Walled Lake, Kyle
plays ice hockey and enjoys in-line
skating, football and working on his
computer.

Beatrice (Bibi) Pauline Lorber cele-
brated her bat mitzvah on Saturday,
June 5, with
Workmen's
Circle/Arbeter Ring,
at the Townsend
Hotel in
Birmingham.
Friends and family
joined Bibi, her par-
ents Charley and
Helene Lorber and
her brother Abe at the simcha.
Bibi is the granddaughter of Rose
Kurzweil. Participating in the program
were shule students and adult chorus
members. Jan Adler, shule director,
officiated; and Arlene Frank, Michigan
District chair, brought greetings from
