In addition to graduation diplomas,

Each graduate also received the
Kindergarten Mensch Club award,
marking participation in a weekly ses-
sion about making someone else happy
Gartenberg said the students had raised
money to buy an electronic chair for a
17-year-old girl with cerebral palsy. A
school carnival, :_ollecrion of tzedaka
money from the school's nursery classes
and donations from kindergartners
brought in 5700. Harper Furniture in
Royal Oak added to the fund.
All of the new graduates proved what
Gartenberg professed: "If our ancestors
could see us now, how proud they
would be of the children carrying on
