Woods-area parents, the end
of the Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan Detroit year
isn't so much the end of an era as it is
a slight turn in their lono--runnina car-
pool road.
Bobbie Lewis, a founding member
of the carpool, exits as her daughter
Hannah graduates — 15 years after
Bobbie first started hauling her eldest,
Miriam, to and from Hillel.
Donna Einhorn also makes her last
trip after 12 years when daughter
Emily moves on to Berkley High
School. Emily's older brother David
preceded her through the halls of
Hillel.
The end is in sight but not imme-
diately at hand for Sonja Kass, who
began with the Lewises in 1984 when
