YOUTH LEADERSHIP FORUM
Robert Goldman, son of Bruce and
Brigitte Goldman of West Bloomfield,
has been chosen to attend the 1999
National Youth Leadership Forum on
Medicine, June 17-27 in Chicago.
Robert was chosen because of his out-
standing academic achievements and
interest in the profession of medicine.
Forum students will get first-
hand experience in a motivating and
challenging environment, seeing
"the world of medicine from a per-
spective unlike any other," said Dr.
William Levin, president emeritus,
University of Texas Medical Branch
at Galveston. The experience will
give them "a valuable head start
toward the careers and success they
dream of achievina " he added.
Goldman, a member of the National
Honor Society, will attend Michigan
State University's Lyman Briggs
College in the fall. He is graduating
cum laude from West Bloomfield
High School.

CULTURAL EVENING
The Cultural Commission of
Congregation Shaarey Zedek recently
presented an Evening of Opera with
Dr. David - DiChiera, director of the
Michigan Oper3. Theatre. More than
500 patrons attended the event to
hear some beautiful arias. Evelyn
Kasle and Joyce Blum were co chair-
men of the event.
