ANNETTE LONDON, 72, of West
Bloomfield, died May 19.
Mrs. London was a clothing
bookkeeper. She was a member of
Congregation Shaarey Zedek, B'nai
B'rith, a life master of the American
Contract Bridge League and an
award-winning sculptress and artist.
She loved playing cards.
Mrs. London is survived by her
husband, Leon London; sons and
daughter-in-law Dr. Jeffrey and
Leslie London of West Bloomfield,
Michael London and fiance Lisa
DeVuono; daughter and son-in-law
Sheila and Bruce London of
Washington; grandchildren Adina,
Daniel and Jonathan London and
Joseph London; sister and brother-
in-law Jane T. and Irving Levine of
Farmington Hills; brothers and sis-
ters-in-law Lawrence and Barbara
Eisenberg of Southfield, Gary and
Barbara Eisenberg of Franklin and
sister-in-law Jeannette Lowen.
She was the loving sister of the
late Dorothy Robbins and the dear
sister-in-law of the late Nathan
Robbins.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to the Karmanos Cancer
Institute hospice program.

MARILYN A. MELLEN, 69, former
Detroiter of Omaha, Neb., died May
14.
She is survived by her sons and
daughter-in-law, Jeffrey (Betty),
Douglas; sister and brother-in-law
Ellen (Leo) Goldenberg of
Farmington Hills; brother and sister-
in-law Dr. Gilbert (Peggy) Roth of
Fresno, Calif.; five grandchildren.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Morton Mellen.

JACQUELINE FLORENCE
NEWMAN, 72, of Charlotte, N.C.,
died May 18.
A longtime resident of Southfield,
Mrs. Newman lived in Charlotte
since 1974. An artist, she was a
member of Temple Israel.
She is survived by her husband,
Raymond P. Newman; son and
daughter-in-law Yale D. (Susan)
Newman; daughter Melanie N. Suit;
granddaughter Elizabeth Suit, all of
Charlotte.
Interment in Charlotte.
Contributions may be made to
Hospice of Charlotte, 1420 E. 7th
St., Charlotte, N.C. 28204.

NICK SALAMON, 97, formerly of
Oak Park, of Scottsdale, Ariz., died
May 19.
He is survived by his wife, Violet;
son Fred; daughter Jacqueline (John)
Richardson; grandchildren Mitchell
(Joan) Salamon, Lisa (Kurt) Geisler,
Lisa Salamon, Renee (Mark) Miller,
Robbie Richardson; great-grandchil-
dren Marla and Eve Salamon, Zach
Geisler, Joey and Aaron Miller.
Interment in Arizona.

REBECCA 'WINSTON, 87, former
Detroiter, died May 21.
She is survived by her sister,
Mollie (Jack) Schaffer; brother Jack
Weinstein; many nieces and
nephews.
Interment in Arlington Heights,
Ill. Contributions may be made to
Temple Beth-El, 3610 Dundee Rd.,
Northbrook, IL 60062 or to a chari-
ty of one's choice.

ROSE ZIEGLER, 81, of Oak Park,
died May 20. Mrs. Ziegler was a
school crossing guard for Oak Park
schools.
She is survived by her sons, Albert
Ziegler of Ohio, Leon Ziegler;
daughters and son-in-law Marsha
and Donald Williams of Oak Park,
Phyllis Lewkowicz of Livonia.
She was the beloved wife of the
late Jack Ziegler.
Interment at Machpelah
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to the Holocaust Memorial
Center. Arrangements by the Ira
Kaufman Chapel.
