SZ CLASS ON DIETARY LAWS
Eilu Eilu and Congregation Shaarey
Zedek will offer a Beit Midrash (house of
study) session for adults entitled "You Are
What You Eat," an exploration of texts on
the Jewish dietary laws facilitated by Rabbi
Stephen Weiss, 8-9 p.m. Thursday, May 27
at the Laker Education complex, 2075 -
Walnut Lake Rd., West Bloomfield. Free.
Open to the community. Using the tradi-
tional hevruta method of Jewish study, par-

KABBALA SEMINAR
Prominent Safad artist and student of the
kabbala, Avraham Loewenthal, will present
a seminar on kabbala 7:30 p.m. June 3 at
Young Israel of Southfield. Participants will
learn about the "Tree of Life," reincarnation
and the universal soul and the four-letter
