Fisher Federation Building. The evening will include a buffet sup- per, business meet- ing, elections and a presentation by Rabbi James A. Rudin, national AJC director of interreli- gious affairs. His address will focus on Jewish- Rabbi James Christian relations Rudin and the significance of the year 2000 for Christians. The title of the talk is "The Year 2000: Promises, Challenges and Dangers in Jewish-Christian Relations." Rudin is past chairman of the International Jewish Committee for Interreligious Consultants and was awarded the Person of Reconciliation Award from the Polish Council of Christians and Jews in Warsaw. He serves on the Auschwitz Interreligious Center Executive Committee. The 1999-2000 nominating commit- tee chaired by Irene Sobel has recom- mended the following slate of officers ro the board: president, Frederick J. Frank; vice presidents, Judith S. Owens and Barbara Rom; secretary, Allen M. Olender; and treasurer, Martin S. Mayer. Board nominees include Martin Baum, Robert Benyas, Laura Meyers Gould, Lisa S. Gretchko, Barry Lefkowitz, Ann Mandelbaum, Todd Mendel, Steven Siporin, Dr. Guy Stern and Dr. Ken Wolf. There is a charge for the dinner; the meeting is open to the community. Holiday Workshop For Women "Women of the Shur will continue its series of holiday workshops at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 16, at 6211 Quaker Hill Drive, West Bloomfield.
