received an Avery Hopwood

script was titled After. He also

Agency in Los Angeles.

Jonathan Fleischmann, son of
Martha Jo and Yosef
Fleischmann of Bloomfield
Hills, tied for first place in the
Detroit News essay contest titled
"My Friends Are Special
Because." His was one of 1606
entries statewide in the sixth-
grade division.

Judge Stephen Cooper of the
46th District Court in
Southfield was the keynote
speaker at the recent annual
meeting of the League of
Women Voters.
