bers on Wednesday, June 16, 1999 at 5:30 p.m. at the Harriett and
Ben Teitel Jewish Apartments, 15106 W. Ten Mile Road, Oak Park,
Michigan for the purpose of electing members of the Board of
Directors and for the transaction of such other business as may
properly come before the meeting.

NOMINATIONS FOR THE DIRECTORS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

First three-year term: Neil Gorosh, Cheryl Guyer, Sandra Sherman,

David Steuer, Laurence Tisdale, Harvey Wolf.

Second three-year term: Barbara Cook, Susan Harold, Barry

Lefkowitz, Leo Sklar.

Honorary Life Member: Edythe Jackier Mulivor.
Advisory Committee: Richard Colton, Jack Zwick.
To fill existing three-year terms which were vacated: Doug Stone,

term ending May, 1999 to be renewed for an additional first-year
term; Beth Mondry, term ending May, 2000.

Initial three-year term: Jay Levin, Lisa Pernick.

In accordance with the Bylaws other qualified persons may be nom-
inated for election by a petition signed by not less than fifty (50)
members of the corporation and filed with Marsha Goldsmith
Kamin, Executive Director, not less than ten (10) days prior to the
date of the Annual Meeting. Only one (1) person may be nominat-
ed by each such petition and no nomination shall be valid unless
the nominee shall have consented to such nomination.

Service Corps Seeks Volunteers

The Metropolitan Detroit Jewish
community will hold two open

Year Detroit. The meetings will be
held 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 11,
and Tuesday, May 18, at the D. Dan
and Betty Kahn Jewish Community
Center Building in West Bloomfield.
City Year, an AmeriCorps pro-
gram, is a national youth service
organization that unites diverse
young people for 10 months of full-
time community service, civic
engagement and leadership develop-
ment. Corps members receive a

weekly stipend of $150, health cov-
erage and are eligible for a $4,725
post-service award to be used for
educational pursuits.

Metropolitan Detroit and the
Detroit Initiative are coordinating
the Detroit Jewish community's
involvement in City Year Detroit,
which had been made possible by

Jewish Foundation and the Jewish
