"Noah's Ark — again?"
Yes, it's true.
Donny Osmond was captivated by
the Joseph story (certainly much more
intriguing than Noah's), appearing for
years in the musical stage production.
But the rest of the world has, since
time immemorial, been telling and re-
telling the tale of Noah.
This book offers a twist: It tells
the story with details from Jewish
legends. Instead of simply starting
out with Noah as an adult, it
begins with his young life when
"light of every color filled the
house" at his birth. There are sto-
ries, too, of giants and strange
animals.
This book has great illustrations,
certainly, but when are we going to
move beyond Noah? Would that
someone really talented came up
with a great children's book about
Ruth, for example, and that's only
the beginning ... II
