Miriam and Sol Hoberman recently
celebrated their golden wedding
anniversary. In honor of the event, a
grove of 1,000 trees was planted by the
Jewish National Fund in Israel's
American Independence Park. A din-
ner in the Hobermans' honor was
given by their children, Karen and
Terry Weingarden of West Bloomfield;
Dr. Gary and Cheryl (Gordon)

Hoberman of Skokie, Ill.; Sandra and
Robert Braun of Los Angeles; and Dr.
Richard and Laurie (Hayes)
Hoberman, also of Los Angeles. The
Hobermans' grandchildren are C.J. and
Eric Weingarden of West Bloomfield;
Mitchell, Ashley, Elissa and Scott
