Loren is an honor student at Orchard
Lake Middle School in West Bloomfield.
She plays on a travel soccer team and
enjoys football, basketball and hockey.
Loren completed the 13 mitzvot
program at Adat Shalom, which
included volunteering at and donating
to Yad Ezra and the Hospice of
Southeastern Michigan.

Joshua David Koss will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
May 1, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek.
Joshua is the son of Mary and Steven
Koss, brother of
Cathy (Vincent)
Nicoletti. Proud
grandparents are
Sylvia and Bernard
Koss and Virginia
Noffsinger. He is also
the grandson of the
late Joseph
Noffsinger.
Joshua is a seventh grader at
Norup Middle School in Oak Park.
He enjoys collecting cars, biking
and in-line skating.
Joshua's mitzvot included volunteer-
ing at Yad Ezra and assisting behind the
scenes of Shaarey Zedek's "Fiddler on
the Roof." He also worked on
Hadassah's doll project.

Abby Alec Beare will celebrate her bat

mitzvah at Temple Israel on Friday,
April 30. She is the daughter of Lisa and
Jeffrey Beare and sister of Torey. Proud
grandparents are
Phyllis and Tom
Beare and Shirley and
Larry Tomas. Excited
great-grandmother is
Betty Beare.
An honor student
at Warner Middle
School in Farmington
Hills, Abby enjoys tennis, music and
spending summers at Camp Tamarack.
Mitzvah projects included assisting at
Temple Israel's summer camp, helping to
build a handicap accessible ramp for the
Kenny Foundation and donating to the
City of Hope.
