Here's Tom Rabbi Allan Kensky spiritual leader of Beth Israel Congregation in Ann Arbor for 17 years follow- ing his ordina- tion at the Jewish Theological Seminary, has Rabbi Kensky been appointed dean of the JTS Rabbinical School in New York. Feldman, an eighth grade student at Abbott Middle School in West Bloomfield has recently been named the win- ner in the regional Optimist Daniel Oratorical Feldman Competition for the second con- secutive year, receiving a gold medal at the local Keego Harbor Optimist Club. He will deliver his speech, "Optimism in My Life," at the state competition in Ann Arbor. Jessica Berg, a freshman in the Weinberg College of Arts and Science at Northwestern University, has been named to the dean's list for the fall and winter quarters of the 1998-99 academic year.
