Rabbi Ed Feinstein
of Valley Beth
Shalom in Encino,
Calif, will be the
speaker. Hors d'oeu-
vres and dessert will
be served.

Rabbi Feinstein
was the founding
headmaster of the
Solomon Schechter Academy of Dallas,
Texas, and served as associate rabbi of
Congregation Shearith Israel, Dallas. He
was chosen Rabbi of the Year in 1995-
96 by the Jewish Federation of Greater
Los Angeles and received the Rabbinical
Service award from the United Jewish
Appeal.
Hillel Day School also will recognize
Beverly and Irving Laker, who will be
honored with the first annual Dream
Maker Award, Rona and Herbert
Freedland, who will be posthumously
presented with the Rabbi Jacob Segal
Award at the annual dinner and silent
auction to be held June 8. The
Freedlands' four children will accept the
award in memory of their parents.
Jodi and Rob Goodman, Illana and
Danny Greenberg, Sue and Alan J.
Kaufman and Elise and David Schostak
are the chairmen of the patron party.

JCC Plans
Camps At JPM
The Jewish Community Center Jimmy
Prentis Morris location will offer one-
week specialty and sports camps.
Included are flag football, girls' bas-
ketball, swim, magic, photography, in-
line skating, woodworking, baseball and
dance.
All camps, available to children 6-
14 years of age, begin June 21 and run
through Aug. 12, from 9:30 a.m.-3:30
p.m. with extended care available.
Traditional four-week camps for
preschool-third grade are also offered.
