Mr. Reder was a member of the Masons and Jewish War Veterans and a City of Hope Volunteer. He was a teacher, reading specialist and counselor at Murray-Wright and Ferndale Samuel Reder high schools for 44 years. He counseled children regarding death and dying. He was very close to the students he tutored. One student he counseled who was headed toward delinquency went on to become a doctor.' He was a vintage player with the Oak Park Community Center. He played in the Oak Park Volley Ball Senior Citizen League. Mr. Reder is survived by his wife, Lila Reder; sons and daughter-in- law Mark (fiancee Anita) Reder, Steven and Pat Reder, Michael Reder; sister and brother-in-law ' Shirley and Larry Cohen of Bloomfield Hills; grandchildren Stefani, Sarah, Brian, Emily, Seth, Brandan.
