David DeVine, a senior at
Birmingham Groves High School
and defenseman on the
Birmingham Unified hockey team,
was named an Academic All-State
by the Michigan High School
Coaches Association.
DeVine, who has a 4.34 grade
point average, will attend thee
University of Michigan in the fall.
He played for two years on the
Birmingham Unified varsity squad,
which includes student-athletes
from Groves and Seaholm high
schools.
