David Broner is president of Broner Inc., a Alfred and Bernice family-owned business in Deutsch Auburn Hills that distributes industrial gloves and safety products; hats, caps, gloves and acces- sories for retail businesses; and embroi- dered clothing and headgear for business and industry. The Shaarey Zedek board member is a former board member of Hebrew Free Loan Association and the University Camp for Children. He studied last year at the weeklong Wagner Institute at JTS. Lily Broner is an economics professor on Oakland Community College's Waterford campus. The Broners' children and spouses are Robert and Kim Broner, James and Mimi Broner and Stephanie Broner. They have four grandchildren. For the past two years, the Broners have been Shaarey Zedek's JTS chairper- sons. This year's chairs are James and Sally Hooberman and Paul and Carol Hooberman. The Deutsches are long-time mem- bers of B'nai Moshe; he was president from 1953 to 1955. He was vice chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis in 1965. Chancellor To Visit Chancellor Ismar Schorsch will be guest speaker at the Detroit Friends of the Jewish Theological Seminary's patron reception at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
