Seminary, lectures at
8:00 pm on "Two Stars
in the Galaxy; The Prato
Haggadah and the

Rothschild Mahzor."

The lecture is free and
open to the public at the
D.I.A. The event is spon-
sored by the Graphic
Council of the D.I.A.

JAY ALAN MARKOWITZ, 35, of
West Bloomfield, died March 29.
He is survived by his parents,
Judith and Burton Isaacs; father
Morris Markowitz; sisters and broth-
er-in-law Bonnie and Matthew
Crocker of Sacramento, Hope
Markowitz of Keego Harbor; aunts,
uncles, cousins and friends.
Contributions may be made to a
charity of one's choice. Interment at
Adat Shalom Memorial Park.
Services and arrangements by
Hebrew Memorial Chapel.

HENRY (HENIK) MARTIN, of
Lauderdale Lakes, Fla., died March 31.
Mr. Martin, a concentration
camp survivor, came to Detroit in
1950 with his wife, Mina and
daughter Shirley. He established a
fruit delivery business, which he ran
for 25 years.
He is survived by his daughters
and sons-in-law, Shirley and Robert
Marcus of Greensboro, N.C., Rosie
and Kanti Daya of Boca Raton, Fla.;
son and daughter-in-law Aaron and
Fran Martin of West Bloomfield;
grandchildren Kara and Rachel
Marcus, Michelle and Justin Daya,
Adam and Jacob Martin. He was the
loving husband of the late Mina
Martin.
Contributions may be made to
the Mina and Henry Martin
Scholarship Fund at Hillel Day
School.

DR. PHILIP MEIZELS, 66, of
West Bloomfield, died March 31.
Dr. Meizels was a dentist with
offices in Westland and Belleville.
He was a founding member of the
American Academy for Functional
Orthodontics, vice president of the
Detroit Clinic Club TMD Section
and a senior lecturer at the United
States Dental Institute.
Dr. Meizels is survived by his
wife, Carol Meizels; sons Jeffrey
Meizels of West Bloomfield, David
Meizels of Connecticut and fiancee
Jennifer O'Brien; sister Janice Regal
of Los Angeles.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be
made to the Henry Ford Health
System, Neuro Surgery Research
Department. Arrangements by the
Ira Kaufman chapel.

LILY WEISLER, 88, of St.
Petersburg, Fla., died April 1.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Harvey and Adele
Weisler of Farmington Hills and
grandson Lawrence Weisler.
Mrs. Weisler was the beloved wife
of the late Leon Weisler.
Contributions may be made to a
charity of one's choice. Services and
interment were held at -Hebrew
Memorial Park: Arrangements by
Hebrew Memorial Chapel.

MILDRED ZAFT, 91, of Beverly
Hills, died April 5.
She is survived by her son, Sylvan
Zaft of Farmington Hills; daughters
Dolores Zaft of Royal Oak, Victoria

Lattin of Southfield; grandchildren,
Lori (David) Nowak, Samuel
(Jeanne) Langer, Deborah (John)

Corinne, Mitchell, Paige and Lynn;
brother-in-law and sister-in-law,
Max and Helen Lepofsky; friend
Jeanice Shannon.
Chapel services were held at
Machpelah Cemetery. Contributions
may be made to the Hospice of
Michigan, 16250 Northland Dr.,
Southfield, MI 48075 or to the
charity of one's choice.
