Gallery at the Detroit Zoo, with their
butterfly exhibit, is the one we think is
most interesting. I did not want to
have to create the ambiance and the
environment. They also have an audi-

Their synagogue, Shaarey Zedek,
was never a location they considered
for the party, even though they would
have been able to have many more peo-
ple than the 140 limitation of the Zoo.
"The synagogue wasn't interesting,
kosher food wasn't a priority, and it
would have been a party like five oth-
ers," says Brown. "I always enjoy going

their first visit to Detroit. "We are
bringing people in from out-of-town,
and we wanted to show them a bit of
our city," Brown says.
Some choose a non-synagogue loca-

temple is too small for the size party
they want to give, because the date is
already reserved or because the food
costs are too expensive for their budget.

you make your first appointment with
the caterer, and we realized it would
be way out of the ballpark for us.
