Need help in math or science? Forget
it; hire a tutor.
But any kid smart enough to navi-
gate to Virtual Jerusalem can use a
Web search engine to turn up far
more detailed information.
There's also a section for hooking
up Jewish pen pals, although the idea
of pen pals seems sort of quaint in
this era of globe-spanning chat rooms
and instant messaging.
There are easy links to all of VJ's
other services, including music, cul-
ture, travel, news and online shop-
ping. And there's a link to "Teen to
Teen," an online magazine created by
teen-agers.
Like other Virtul Jerusalem
offerings, the VJ101 page is slick
and pretty. But the content is thin
— very thin. It's hard to imagine
swarms of Jewish kids tuning off
America Online or their favorite
Internet chat area for VJ's limited
features.
A great idea, but needs more work,
guys.

Seen On The Net

It's no secret that Eastern reli-
gious groups in this country are
top heavy with Jews. Reaching
out to them — and helping fami-
lies cope with their return — is
the topic of an- odd little Web
page by a man who goes by the
pseudonym Aaron Goldsmith.
Not a lot of content, but
thought-provoking.
