In selecting the menu, we had two
main requirements: that most of the
food would need minimal, if any,
assembly the night of the party and
that all items could be eaten without
a fork. Balancing a wine glass and a
plate of food can be difficult enough;
trying to stab a stuffed mushroom
with a fork at the same time and not
end up wearing the hors d'oeuvre is
quite a bit to ask of guests who have
dressed up for the occasion.
A variety of cheese and crackers,
grapes, crudities, cream cheese-
jalapeno dip, baked garlic and olive
tapenade were set on the dining-
room table along with artfully
arranged salmon salad wraps, broc-
coli-feta puffs and mushroom-pastry
appetizers.
A tall crystal vase filled with purple
irises served as a simple, but elegant
centerpiece. After the gifts were
opened, coffee, tea and a tray of
home-baked biscotti and cookies
dressed up in colorful paper pastry
cups were served in the living room,
where guests relaxed and conversed
about the upcoming nuptials.

Combine salmon, dill and pepper
in medium bowl. Slowly stir in may-
onnaise, a little at a time, until fish
mixture is moist but not saturated.
