together under the guidance of the r __/
Neighborhood Project and its direc-
tor, Marion Freedman.
Right from the start, people were
chatting with each other and asking
questions. There was an ice breaker
in which we molded pipe cleaners
to represent something about our-
selves. The results ranged from bas-
ketballs to musical notes to Stars of
David.

what they created.

fun and purposeful, involved decorat-
ing table runners for the Federation
Apartments to use on Passover. Seder
plates, cups of wine, matzah and
Jewish stars were drawn. We shared
ideas with one another and stood in
awe of. each other's talent.

evening went exceptionally well. We
met new people and realized that we
have much in common. The reality
is that we are all Jewish teenagers
growing up in America, with minute
differences. Through more events like
this 'one, we will be able to bridge the
gap between the various streams of
Judaism.
The teens of Congregation Beth
Shalom, Temple Emanu-El and Young
Israel of Oak Park all eagerly await the
next opportunity to come together in
another fun-filled event.
