A corps of 60 volunteers and board members from both organizations will help package and distribute the food on Sunday and Monday, March 21 and 22. Mike Balkin and Balkin Products are supplying food boxes and Eugene Sherizen and Lighting Supply Co. are helping with logistics for the special food distribution. Yad Ezra, located in Oak Park, opened in 1990 in response to the grow- ing number of hungry Jewish families in the Detroit community. The kosher food pantry is expected to distribute almost 30,000 pounds of Passover food.
