Rachel is an honor student at Hillel
Day School in Farmington Hills. She
enjoys soccer and studies drums. Her
mitzvah projects include helping out at
Yad Ezra and participating in the Hillel
Day School-JARC program for seventh
graders.
Michael Scott Schneider will become a
bar mitzvah on Saturday, March 13, at
Congregation
Shaarey Zedek. He
is the son of Dianne

elderly in nursing homes and working

Volunteering at Yad Ezra as part of
his mitzvah projects was particularly sig-
nificant; he also babysat at Temple Israel
during the High Holy Days. A student
at Orchard Lake Middle School in West
Bloomfield, Chad enjoys playing golf,
hockey and softball in addition to doing
magic tricks, using the computer and
watching wrestling.
Adam Michael Kessler will be called to
the Torah as bar mitzvah on Saturday,
March 13, at Temple Beth El. He is the
son of Lorie and John
Kessler and brother
of Matthew and
Rachel. He is the
grandson of Florence
and Lester Neiman,
Mary Rita Kessler
and the late Herbert
Kessler. He also is the
great-grandson of
Katherine Rieger.
Adam is in the seventh grade at
Orchard Lake Middle School in West
Bloomfield. He enjoys summers at
Camp Tamarack, in-line hockey, pho-
tography and drama. Adam's mitzvah `-`
projects include working as a student aid
in the autistic impaired program at
Orchard Lake Middle School and with
the first-grade religious school class at
Temple Beth El.
David Lee Gordon will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah on Saturday,
March 13, at
Congregation B'nai
David, where he will
read from the Torah
and conduct the
Musaf service.
David is the son of
Sarah and Eric
Gordon and the
grandson of Estera
and Leon Halpern and Eva and Bernard L\
Gordon. He is the brother of Elizabeth
Gordon, Sharon (Gordon) Ferber and
Brian Ferber and Jason Gordon.
David attends Akiva Hebrew Day
School in Lathrup Village and enjoys
hockey, golf, basketball and anything to
do with cars. A se'udat simchah will be
held in his honor Saturday afternoon
and evening.
